JOONDALUP FAMILY CENTRE NATURE PLAY

Joondalup Family Centre was awarded a Lotterywest grant and engaged NBP to create a whole new outdoor nature play space for their children.

The custom design features several different areas catering for babies, toddlers and older children with a plethora of sensory items such as music wall, talking pipes, log drum, living log and water play. Creative play items include a mud kitchen, classic cubby, crossing bridge and performance stage.

There are plenty of physical challenges with a basket swing, bike track and balance logs creating a great space for children to explore and enjoy.

Nature Based Play believes that, especially in the context of Nature Play, there is much to be gained from pursuing a deeper understanding of the cultural, spiritual and educational practices of First Nations peoples.

Our offices and workshop are located on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar, though our work takes us all across the State. As such we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work throughout Western Australia.
