Description: Commissioned: Design and Construct

The owners of Horizons ELC approached Nature Based Play to assist them in integrating Nature Play into their outdoor Toddler and Kindy play areas. With a simple brief, working to site specifics, and liaising closely with the owners and management staff, NBP designed a Nature Playground that created magical islands of Nature Play within the existing outdoor area, maximising play value within a set budget.

The completed Nature Playground integrated many different types of Nature Play including waterplay, cubbies, vestibular swing, Bubble POD and fairy bridge. Focussing on creating magical islands of nature play within the existing play area, the transformation of outdoor area was remarkable, integrating fully with existing garden and sand pit area. The nature playground was able to cater to the different age groups of children at the centre, whilst creating a wonderful variety of nature play experiences and challenges, plus tranquil landscaped outdoor areas.
