STRINGFELLOW PARK NATURE PLAY
NBP was awarded the tender after community consultation, to install a new nature play space for Stringfellow Park, located in Mosman Park.
The playground has a large limestone feature mound, with a cascading button activated water feature flowing down carved rocks into the sandpit area.
Balance logs, steppers and ground rocks frame the space, creating jumping and balancing challenges throughout.
Also featured is a mini monkey climber and a classic timber swing, using repurposed rope from Fremantle wharf and incorporating a toddler seat for the littler ones. The area has been finished off by the Town of Mosman Park with new plantings to complete the space.
Through a coordinated effort with Laing O’Rourke and NBP, much of the timber used on this project was salvaged from the Melconnx project to build the Metronet Ellenbrook to Morley Train Line.
The project featured in the Australasian Railway Association Sustainability Guide as “best practice example for sustainability”
