HORRIE LONG RESERVE
The renewal of Horrie Long Reserve in the City of Fremantle features a nature-inspired playground centered on a striking 3.6-metre-high tree log.
This fort structure, complemented by climbing logs and a slide, connects to a winding nature trail adorned with beautifully carved posts showcasing local endemic species such as the Red Wattle Bird.
Children can swing high among the treetops on tree swings, balance on a rope nest, and climb atop sturdy logs. There are also carefully designed seating and social spaces that encourage play, connection, and inclusivity, with dedicated areas where girls can gather and talk face-to-face.
