CAREY BAPTIST COLLEGE

The NBP team recently completed a third stage of play at Carey Baptist College, expanding on previous works with the addition of a unique timber fort.
The fort features timber cladding, stick ladder access, thick rope entry points, and peekaboo openings, with additional play space beneath.
Earlier stages included shaping and sculpting the landscape to create a dry creek bed, finished with soft-fall mulch and a natural rock border. Water play elements flow from a rock mound into channels that run through carved timber paths and into a sandpit. A fairy bridge and balance logs, designed to resemble fallen trees, provide crossing points over the creek bed.
Under the shade of a tree, a cubby-building area invites creative play, while scattered interactive elements—such as talking pipes and a rainbow sensory post with a magnified viewing lens—encourage exploration and nature discovery.
