A collaborative design process with Rockingham Montessori School to build a nature playground in the Montessori school ethos of play based learning.
The design integrated selected nature play features and items with the existing trees and playground elements, to create an inviting landscaped Nature play space with a variety of play experiences and challenges.
Nature Play Elements:
Water Play: Carved Rock Water Feature, Carved Top Logs, Carved Stumps
Balancing & Climbing: Father Humpback Climber; Balance Logs and Stepping Rocks
Fort: Tumble Down Cubby Fort with Slide and underneath cubby
Cubbies: Classic Cubby, Cubby Bones and Sticks
Basics: Ground Logs, Steppers, White Sand, Ground Rocks, Tree Plantings
