St Joseph’s PS P&C asked Nature Based Play to help design and build a nature playground for their school in collaboration with the local school community. The concept design provided an original nature playground suited to their site and needs.

With the help of the local community, the NBP team was able to construct the nature playground for the school and community. Locals supplied and mobilised timber logs, rocks and mulch, and assisted with parts of landscaping and construction, in a truly collaborative effort.

Nature Play Elements:
water play features, climbing and balancing challenges, open space, native plantings.

Water Play: 3x Carved Top Logs.
Active Play: Rope Sway Bridge, Balancing climbers.
Basics: Ground Logs, Timber Verticals, Ground Rocks, Wharf Rope
Landscaping: Mulch, and native plantings, rope edging. Mounding and swales
