ENDEAVOUR SCHOOL AMPHITHEATRE

NBP returned to Endeavour School in Port Kennedy to upgrade the seating in the amphitheatre / outdoor learning area previously constructed in Dec 2020. Jarrah decking has been added to the curved tiered seating to enhance the space and increase usability.

Two cubbies with loose parts sticks are positioned under nearby trees to allow kids to create their own spaces to hide and play. A rainbow post embedded with coloured glass adds a visual and textural element to the space.

The stage area features a steel cut backdrop of the Noongar 6 seasons, constructed in 2020.

Nature Based Play believes that, especially in the context of Nature Play, there is much to be gained from pursuing a deeper understanding of the cultural, spiritual and educational practices of First Nations peoples.

Our offices and workshop are located on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar, though our work takes us all across the State. As such we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work throughout Western Australia.
