Outcome: School Nature Playground
The Kelmscott PS principal commission NBP to Design and Construct a Nature Playground in an existing playground space at the school. In a location surrounded by trees, a design was completed that integrated some existing play items into the space, and created a diverse range of Nature play experiences for the students, including active Tumble Down Fort and vestibular swing, sensory water play and totem poles, with balancing and sitting play spaces, within landscaped areas.

Water Play: Carved Water Rock Mound, Carved top logs, Carved stumps
Active Play: Vestibular Swing, Tumble Down Cubby Fort, Rope ladders
Sensory: Sensory Totems, Sand Pit
Cubbies: Cubby Bones and Loose Play
Basics: Lawn, ground logs and rocks, native plantings, softfall mulch
