NBP is proud to bring the first dedicated nature based play space to the Town of East Fremantle, at Gourley Park. Set under a large tree, this nature haven includes a range of open ended opportunities incorporating natural elements for children to explore and enjoy.
The new timber playground includes a vestibular motion swing and balancing log nest for free play climbing, balancing and hanging. A stump slide offers play opportunities for the younger children.
Ground rocks create a viewing platform to the beautiful Swan river.
As per our ethos, natural and sustainable materials have been used throughout the playground, encouraging children to connect with nature.
Through a coordinated effort with Laing O’Rourke and NBP, much of the timber used on this project was salvaged from the Melconnx project to build the Metronet Ellenbrook to Morley Line.
A pump track has since been added to the park by Three Chilli’s Design, a great addition and perfect for younger kids to learn on.
