NBP was approached by St Denis Primary School in March 2021 to upgrade the existing early learning playground area.  A staged plan was drawn up, with construction commencing in April 2022.

The Stage 1 plan included a rock stack water play feature to engage fine and gross motor skills, release energy and offer therapeutic play.

Sensory elements include a music wall with sensory totem and mud kitchen for creative play.

A hollow log fort was built repurposing an existing slide as well as a carved top log and log abacus.

Steppers and ground logs provide balancing opportunities, while the area was finished off with new eucalypts to provide additional shade and attract birds and other wildlife.
