Richmond PS – Nature Playground (Stage 2)

NBP was asked to complete Stage 2 of the Richmond PS Nature Playspace in their central courtyard outdoor area in the school. A creek, fairy bridge and rock water play feature was integrated into the existing nature play space, along with steppers and carved logs, to create a sensory water play experience for the kids.
The final Nature Play space provides a playable landscape in the central courtyard, with a wide range of play experiences, including sensory, active, balancing, reflective and water play.
Nature Play Elements:
Balancing and Sitting: Timber Steppers, Ground rocks.
Water Play: Rock Water Feature, Carved water top rock, Carved water log, Dry Creek.
Thematic Play: Fairy Bridge, Stick shelter
Sensory: Sensory Totem, Timber Carvings, Loose shells
