PARKWOOD PS PIAZZA AND NATURE PLAYGROUND
Whilst consulting with the school admin team on a design for a new major nature playground, NBP worked to revitalise several other spaces around the school.
The central piazza gardens were expanded to natural pockets that kids could move through and explore. A natural limestone rock spiral now surrounds the adjacent giant gum tree. This doubles as both an option for balancing games and a spot for the children to sit, chat, and eat lunch.
The kindy playground was given a new water play feature, with two large carved timber troughs atop a small rock mound. NBP also installed a new jarrah mud kitchen and some musical elements. The old CCA timber boundary timbers were removed from the school and replaced by a natural stone and log edge creating a much more interactive feature around the
playspace.
