Stage 1 of a masterplan for Dalmain PS saw a section of the playground made into a waterplay area, with carved log trough and rock water channels leading into a sandpit framed by carved top logs and rocks.

Stage 2 features a DIY cubby building section which was quickly embraced by the students, along with rope balancing and climbing challenges.

Other features include talking pipes, log abacus, new trees and native shrubs.  Play elements are designed to engage children in a range of play types such as Physical, Constructive, Sensory, Cooperative and Creative.
